Addison has always been present at the practice but officially became a large and small animal assistant the summer of 2022. Addison chose this profession because she grew up around this environment and coming to work with dad (Dr. Lewis) really pushed her love for animals. This also paved the way for her future desire to become a veterinarian. Addison’s favorite breed is Warmblood-horse. She enjoys this breed because of their amazing personality and how they always try to do their best when being ridden. A fun fact about Addison is that she has been riding and showing horses competitively since she was 5 years old (and she’s so awesome we’ve lost count of her numerous ribbons)! Another interesting fact about Addison is that her parents are the owners of Wayside Animal Hospital and she has often joined her dad at work where they both share a love of helping animals. Addison’s family includes her parents Dr. Lyn and Kristen Lewis, her brother Patrick. Her four-legged family includes a Russian tortoise named Oscar, a golden doodle named Chubb and a Mecklenburg Warmblood horse named Quinn.
